About Post-Monetarist Political Economy

PMPE is an MMT-adjacent project that explores how government policy can enhance well-being. Its goal is to illustrate every possible way that non-monetarist economic policy can be implemented and improved. It deals with inflation, alternatives to GDP, industrial policy, and the legal framework of money. The central claim of PMPE is that a currency is primarily worth whatever is available for sale in that currency on the terms a given purchaser has the bargaining power to negotiate.

The founder of PMPE, Jonathan Wilson, is an attorney, independent researcher, and MMT activist living in Texas.
